Welcome to Dot Liberia! Our mission was birthed in the fall of 2008 after a trip to the western African country of Liberia. Liberia’s recent civil war devastated the country’s infrastructure and power grid, and left most people hopeless, displaced and struggling to survive. The current population, fifty percent of whom are under the age of 17, now works to reclaim and rebuild their country…and with it their hopes.

We are compelled to return and begin a electrical trade school in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, and to initiate and support programs to foster reconciliation among the people.

~ Patrick and Anja Van Delden

  • Our vision is to see the people of Liberia with their hopes strengthened as more electricity is restored to their country. We want to foster the participation of Liberians in the reconstruction of their own electrical infrastructure, to see their satisfaction and pride at rebuilding their country.
  • Our mission is to train Liberians in the electrical trade, generating revenue and encouraging economic growth in Monrovia, Liberia and outlying areas, and supporting the spread of reconciliation and peace among the people.
